Tom Gonsalves, owner of Gonsalves Real Estate Properties, a local Real Estate Brokerage, started his successful company in 2011, in the middle of a down economy and declining property values. An independant owner and operator, Tom's motivation for excellence stems from his family and his drive to be the best provider and role model for them that he can be.
Tom grew up watching his father, a General Contractor and Real Estate Broker in Sacramento and always aspired to be like him. He admired his father's ability to help people accomplish their goal of home ownership and to realize the vision of owning their perfect home. He ended up jumping into the business about 10 years ago when his father suffered a stroke and was hospitalized for an extended period of time. Tom's story is very heartwarming as he was determined to help his father get back on his feet and help him accomplish what he had not gotten the chance to finish. He did not want to see the projects his father was working on fail, so he submerged himself into the real estate business and has never looked back. From hardship came opportunity and many great things for Tom. He has worked in the industry since 2004 as a top producing agent. Tom's first sale came from a marketing campaign he did at Sacramento State University. He advertised to the students to speak with their parents about the opportunity to invest in a home for their son or daughter while they were going to college. Born and raised in Sacramento Tom has a long history of family here.
